ABOUT US

Company

ASAP Blinds was established in 2000 in Manasquan, NJ.  Our years of expertise and attention to detail has lead to our success in providing custom window treatments to clients throughout the tri-state area.  ASAP Blinds' showroom provides working displays of our featured products hand picked by our staff including shades, plantation shutters, and draperies, as well as our new motorized/automated wall of shadings!

We offer free on site consultations where our staff will customize your treatments based on your style, light control and privacy preferences, insulation, and child safety needs.  We have options for all budgets, and would love to share our creative ideas with you.  ASAP Blinds staff are Somfy certified motorization experts, and are able to integrate motorized window treatments into clients' current home systems.  All of our installers are in-house and highly trained professionals.

ASAP Blinds is an authorized dealer for the finest names in the window treatment business, with Hunter Douglas, Norman, Comfortex, Horizons, Somfy, and Hartmann&Forbes among our valued suppliers. That's why we're able to offer a wide selection of beautiful, quality products to fit any budget in Monmouth County and Ocean County, as well as all along the Jersey Shore and beyond!

Local

Locally owned and operated, ASAP Blinds is a family-owned business with a trained staff of professionals to bring you the best window treatment designs along with courteous and streamlined installation.

We also support the community in many ways, including sponsoring the annual free Pirate Show in Point Pleasant's Riverfront Park.

Co-Founder

Since co-founding ASAP Blinds in 2000 with sister Dawn, Rick has been at the forefront of new trends in the window treatment industry; the most recent and revolutionary being the integration of automation with smart home devices. Born and raised on the Jersey Shore, he’s always enjoyed creative design particularly as it applies to living spaces, and has developed several unique products including the Fibonacci Shower and the Rectifier Knife. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and traveling with his family.

Dawn M. Damerau

Co-Founder

As a co-founder of ASAP Blinds, Dawn loves meeting new people and taking a hands-on approach to solving their window treatment needs.  Going back to when she and her brother started the company as both salespeople AND installers on whatever products they sold. Plantation shutters are her favorites because they work so well in any decor, be it traditional, modern or transitional. There are many offerings in louver sizes, framing, privacy, light control & speciality shape coverage. She often tells clients that they’re addicting, as many people start planning their next set as our installers are putting up the first ones!

Originally from Matawan and later Manasquan, Dawn lives in Point Pleasant Borough with her wife and daughter, and enjoys making jewelry with sea glass found along the Jersey Shore. Dawn loves just about anything outdoors as well as alone time  journaling and meditation. Favorite vacation spots are the Caribbean &  Rocking Horse Ranch.

A product of Manasquan, Drew has been with us for 15 years and knows all about providing good, clean installations for every type of treatment we sell. As ASAP Blinds’ “Master Installer,” he’s seen it all and has the skills to make any job look great. Besides hunting and fishing, he’s a big fan of the WVU Mountaineers and often travels to West Virginia with his wife for games.

Installer

A resident of The Shore for over 30 years, and one of our installers for several of those, Tony is a jack of many trades extending beyond window treatment installations. He likes working with his hands, so his expertise has helped ASAP Blinds with many unique projects. Hunting, fishing, and boating are some of his favorite activities, as is eating lunch (when Drew will let him have a break).

Showroom

Originally from Howell, Patti has been one of our showroom coordinators on & off for 15 years. Her enthusiasm for small details and meeting new people is just one of the reasons people enjoy shopping for window treatments with us. (Her favorites? Shutters, for sure.) When not keeping things in order at ASAP Blinds, you might find Patti gardening, baking, doing yoga, or volunteering at her daughter’s school.

Sonja Enright

Having grown up in Union, she moved to The Shore from Chatham 23 years ago, and helps provide some of the great atmosphere and customer interaction at ASAP Blinds. A fan of plantation shutters, woven woods and fabrics, she enjoys baking, needlepoint, decorating, reading, and visits to Vermont.
