ABOUT US

Since co-founding ASAP Blinds in 2000 with sister Dawn, Rick has been at the forefront of new trends in the window treatment industry; the most recent and revolutionary being the integration of automation with smart home devices. Born and raised on the Jersey Shore, he’s always enjoyed creative design particularly as it applies to living spaces, and has developed several unique products including the Fibonacci Shower and the Rectifier Knife. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and traveling with his family. 

As a co-founder of ASAP Blinds (est. 2000), Dawn found that her sales background and passion for meeting new people made the window treatment industry a perfect fit. From the earliest days, she and her brother Rick took a hands-on approach, each handling both sales and installations. Dawn's favorite treatments are Plantation Shutters, valued for their versatility and aesthetic appeal, followed closely by Motorized/Automated window treatments, which she came to love after installing them in her own home. In her spare time Dawn enjoys just about anything outdoors as well as alone time. Her other absolute favorite things to do are warm weather vacations, and spending time with her wife and daughter.

After taking a break from an eighteen year career in fashion merchandising and new home interior design to raise a family, Karen returned to her passion for design. As ASAP Blinds Showroom Coordinator: Her motto of “keep it simple” pairs well with her job responsibilities. Not only is she capable of helping our clients make the best possible choices for their home, she is also a Valuable Team Member in the day to day Showroom operations. When not working, Karen enjoys the outdoors, coaching Field Hockey and spending time with her family. 

Before joining our Team, Nancy had worked in the trade for quite some time. Some of the positions Nancy held were as a buyer for Gifts, opened a design store in the US that was from Spain and had her own business in Interior Design and as a Sales Professional for the Designer Trade, representing many different lines of furnishings from furniture, fabrics, lighting and accessories. You can find her in our showroom several days a week where she’s happy to assist with any of your questions or design needs.  Know that Nancy LOVES fabric! In her down time, Nancy enjoys Gardening, Reading, Antiquing & the Beach!

A resident of THE Shore for over 35 years, and our Head Team Installer for the last 10 plus years, Tony is a jack of many trades extending beyond window treatments. He likes working with his hands, so his expertise has helped ASAP Blinds with many unique projects. His expertise is in Plantation Shutter installation and Motorization/Automation, building Control boxes for any size project and installation of treatments. Both Tony & Erick work together for a seamless installation. When not working Tony enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family.

A seasoned & skilled Drapery & Window Treatment installer who takes great pride and strives for perfection on every project he undertakes.  Erick is open and willing to learn all facets of Motorization/Automation, and currently is our Programming Guru.  When not hard at work you can find Erick either playing or coaching his kids in Soccer. It is not just a sport for Erick, it's a passion that brings him joy & fulfillment. Erick is always looking for new ways to challenge himself to grow both personally & professionally.
